There are many books out there on the theme of the book marketing, advertising and books, just everyday business marketing in general. You can, as I have described above, but if you do not want to spend days and even weeks to read to learn about the marketing book, you can it is wise to consult an expert on marketing book or hold a book publisher experienced. I am sure that after reading two or three of these, you are seriously the idea of self-promotion issue.
Why? The reason is that today's book is highly competitive. The world is full of pounds. Bowker (holder of all ISBNs) says that in 2009 more than 200,000 pounds in the U.S. have been published, plus 200,000 published in the UK. How can Borders, Barnes & Noble, Amazon, your local library or sell any actually exists or that the number alone millions of previously printed titles? The answer: you can not.
Moreover, I do not recommend self-promotion, not for the same reason you cut your own hair. You can do it, but it is not so good. Book marketing and book promotion requires special skills and most authors simply do not know how to write a book on the market, nor have the time or, more importantly, patience. Publisher develops and maintains relationships with writers, editors and producers so they trust us when we give them a story about the idea of a book or author.
Conclusion: While I have these books as a basis for understanding recommend the book marketing and book promotion process, a wise author would be even wiser to reserve a book publisher to promote his book. When you return to the same conclusion, please come by all means call me!
